This program is designed for adults who have a family member or close friend beginning to experience Alzheimer's and/or another dementia.  This program will offer helpful tips to assist families with difficult conversations related to dementia, including going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans.  Topics covered will include: Tip for having difficult coversation around some of the most common issues that arise regarding Alzheimer's and/or another dementia.  The need to plan ahead and build a care team that communicates well in order to reduce the stress that can accompany a disease like Alzheimer's.  Learn about connecting with helpful resources to enhance quality of life for everyone involved.

Maine Driving Dynamics


with Bureau of Highway Safety

Calendar Nov 7, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

Maine Driving Dynamics Course offeres all drivers the opportunity to improve their defensive driving abilities.  This five-hour course will include discussion of collision avoidance techniques, safety issues, driver habits and attitudes, and the basic elements that constantly challenge drivers on Maine's highways.  Those completing the course will receive a certificate and a three-point credit on their driving record.  Seniors over 55 receive a discount on their auto insurance.

65 yrs. old or older $25, and all other's $40.
