Yoga For You: A 6-week Beginner Series
with J. Rhinelander
Whether you've practiced yoga before and want a refresher on the basics, or you're brand new and totally initmidated but really want to give it a shot, this is the class for you! In this 6-week series, participants will be introduced to the foundational elements of various forms of hatha yoga, a kind of yoga that pairs poses (asana) with breathing techniques (pranayama). Each week will include a full practice of 60-75 minutes that incorporates postures, breathwork and mediation techniques, with time for questions and discussion at the start of class. There are infinite possiblities to modify poses to make the movement work for your body, and you'll learn techniques to take with you into your own practice beyond this series. Participants wil need to provide their own yoga mat and two yoga blocks. Participants can expect an accessible but challenging practice on the mat so please wear breathable, comfortable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Plan to arrive at least 10-minutes before the class begins to get settled in.

with J. Rhinelander
If you sit at a desk or drive a lot for work, this is the class for you! Over the course of two sessions together, participants can expect to learn a full 45-60 minute yoga sequence (accessible for using chairs and small spaces), self-massage techniques to ease tension in the body, breathing practices for improved posture and decreased stress, as well as ways to incorporate "movement snacks" into your day, no matter where you work. Participants can expect an accessible but challenging practice, so please wear breathable, comforable clothing that allows for freedom of movement. Though we will be moving through poses made accessible for chair yoga, please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Plan to arrive at least 10-minutes before the class beings to get settled in.
