Introduction To Breathing And Meditation

Learn tools to help with relaxation and calming the mind to bring you to a deeper sense of self.  Each week, instructor Heidi L. Audet, ERYT-500 will guide students in breathing exercises known as Pranayama, which helps to calm the mind and prepare students for guided meditation practice.  No prior experience necessary.  This 4-week class will be held at Kimball St. Studios Art Gallery, 191 Lisbon St., Lewiston - across from Chill Yoga.  Please bring a meditation cushion or pillow, and a blanket or yoga mat.

Laughter Yoga

Laughter Yoga is a unique exercise routine which combines unconditional laughter with yogic breathing (Pranayama).  Anyone can laugh without relying on humor, jokes, or comedy.  Laughter is initially simulated as a physical exercise while maintaining eye contact with others in the group and promoting childlike playfulness.  In most cases this soon leads to real and contagious laughter.  Science has proved that the body cannot differentiate between simulated and real laughter.  Laughter Yoga is the only technique that allows adults to achieve sustained hearty laughter without involving cognitive thought.  It bypasses the intellectual systems that normally act as brake on natural laughter.  

Reiki Level 1 Certification Training

This course is an introduction to Usui Reiki Level 1, where you will learn the history of Usui Reiki and Reiki principles.  Reiki Level 1, requires no previous Reiki experience, and can be used on yourself, family, friends, and your pets.  Learn the hand positions to use on yourself, and your family and friends.  A manual will be provided, and a Certificate for Level One Reiki.  This course will prepare you for Level 2 Reiki.  $5 supplies fee payable to instructor the first night.

Tai Chi For Stress Relief
