Want to learn how to use your Android phone or tablet for more than making calls, sending messages, or playing games?  Take this course to discover the hidden potentials of your device.  We will learn how your device can be used to improve your productivity, organization, and even replace your desktop or laptop computer.  If time allows, we will also learn how to utilize your device as a photography and video production tool to create photo movies to share.  Participants must provide their own personal Android phone or Android Tablet.

Create a necklace or two by learning the basic frame-work for creating simple wraps for stones with holes and without.  Simple bails, fancy design for finishing the pendants, using curls and spirals.  Bring your tools and supplies, and any questions you may have.  Supplies and tools can be purchased at: Joann Fabric and Craft Stores, Hobby Lobby, or Butler Hill Beads on Minot Avenue in Auburn.  Items to bring with you are as follows: wire: 18 gauge, and 26 or 28 gauge; stones (this can be  a tumbled stone, cut stone or glass); chain or cord (neck chain or cord to compliment wire); clasps and connector magnetic, lobster claw, or toggle, split rings to attach closure.

Look more attractive, save money and have more to wear by learning to choose clothing that flatters your skin, hair and eye coloring, and glasses, hairstyles and necklines for your face shape.  After having your coloring and face shape analyzed in the first session, you will receive a customized palette of 40 colors in the second session with explanations about how to use it.  Supply Fee of $50 paid to instructor the first night of class.  PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS 2 WEEKS BETWEEN CLASSES.  FIRST CLASS MEETS 5:30-8:30PM AND SECOND CLASS MEETS 6:00-8:00PM.

Beginning Watercolorist

The objectives of this class are to develop, at an introductory level, abilities in watercolor painting.  Students will acquire an understanding of the tools and terms used in this medium.  We will experiment with Dry, Damp and Wet Surfaces to explore some of the possibilities and outcomes.  In addition to mastering basic washes, we will investigate glazing and layering as well as applicaiton techniques.  Each class project will focus on a different aspect of visual perception and composition.  The aim of this course is to develop an understadning of the technical and aesthetic issues involved in the compostion of watercolor paintings.  Please supply your own materials.  A list of basic materials is available.
