Call early to enroll 333-6661.  Participants who currently hold a certified nurse's assistant certificate, are on the State Nursing Registry in good standing, and have one-year minimum full-time experience as a C.N.A. may apply.  Students will be taught the rules, regulations, medications, and techniques in becoming a medication technician.  Reading assessment test required.  Anyone wishing to apply for this program must call the Adult Ed. office at 333-6661.  Payment due prior to first class.  No refund once class starts.

Requirements/Prerequisites

C.N.A. (state certified and listed on State Registry), one year of C.N.A. (2,080 hours) experience, passing a CASAS reading test, leters of recommendation from nursing administrator and supervisor must be two registered nurses who supervise on letterhead.

THIS CLASS IS IN HIGH DEMAND CALL EARLY 333-6661.

Classes fill 3 to 4 weeks prior to the listed start date.  Reading assessment test and interview required.  This is a program designed to prepare the student to become a certified nurse's assistant.  Nursing assistant skills are taught and evaluated in the classroom and through clinical "hands-on" experience.  Certification is given upon completion of the course after evaluations in theory, clinical performance, and passing state examination.  Anyone wishing to apply for this program must call the Adult Ed. office to schedule an interview.  Class size is limited and students are chosen for participation based on reading assessment and intereview required.  No refunds.

Requirements/Prerequisites

Admission Requirements:  passing a reading CASAS test, interview, age 18 or older, high school graduate or equivalent (transcript), leater from physician stating physical ability to perform C.N.A. work, and immunizatoin (shots & TB test) records.

The math lab is intended to provide support for students who are enrolled in high school diploma or HiSET preparation classes, as well as students who want to refresh math skills or prepare for college.  If you have any other math needs, we would like to work with you, too, to help you sharpen your skills.   In the math lab setting, you can work at your own pace on mathematics topics that are meaningful to you.  Pre-registration is required.

Utah Non-Resident Concealed Carry

Calendar Dec 12, 2017 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week

When combined with your Maine concealed firearms permit, 34 state recognize your right to conceal carry.  This class gives you the required knowledge to apply for a Utah permit (additional cost).  The application, signed by the instructor, is proof of successful completion required by Utah.  In order to receive the permit from Utah the student must also be able to pass a federal background check.  There are no firearms allowed in the classroom or on school property.  Must be 18 years or older. Prerequisites are a Maine Resident Permit to Carry a Concealed Firearm and a Maine Drivers License or other Maine State ID proving residence.  If the student is from out of state then their concealed permit must be from that state.
